Sue Holaday's Legacy Of Caring For The Poor And Homeless
Will Live on at Daily Bread Through Your Support of this Fund.

During her six years as Executive Director of Daily Bread, Sue Holaday devoted her energies to feeding those in need, and to "mothering" and encouraging them, urging them to treat one another honestly and fairly, finding medical care for them, paying out of her own pocket for temporary housing on occasion. Daily Bread was Sue's daily passion and love, a soup kitchen and food bank in Melbourne, Florida, serving 200 to 220 meals each day and supplying 26 other agencies with food for redistribution to the hungry.

At the prime of her service to the poor, Sue took ill in March, 2006. She was diagnosed with cancer. Her battle with the disease ended August 9, 2006. Such was her renown as a voice for the poor and homeless in the community that two memorial services were attended by hundreds of friends and mourners, including many of the clients she loved so dearly.

In Sue's memory, Daily Bread has begun the Sue Holaday Memorial Endowment Fund to help assure ongoing services to those in need. A Melbourne family, wanting to encourage gifts from the community, has offered a $50,000 "challenge". Every dollar you contribute will be matched by a dollar from the family's Challenge Fund. If Daily Bread can raise $50,000 for the Sue Holaday Endowment, we will receive matching $50,000.

Please honor Sue Holaday with your gift today and help us secure this wonderful opportunity.
